I was a small town girl who took a leap of faith and pursued my dream of becoming a professional athlete. My journey began in college while running for BYU’s Women’s Track and Field program. While in college I met and married my husband, Kyle. When my college eligibility ended I raced right into the chaotic world of Professional Track athlete. This involved finding an agent, traveling to Europe and flying from country to country for different track meets. The experience was amazing and truly a growing period for me. Once Kyle became my coach I went from a 58 second 400 hurdler to a 55.5 second hurdler and to a 23rd in the world raking in 2010. We have 2 little girls, and this last season I decided my track career had come to an end. I cried a lot and it was truly one of the hardest things for me to let go of in my life. But as I made the decision I felt that it was time to move on and so I'm in the process of being a full time soccer mom, supportive wife, volunteer track coach, and of course staying grounded in my religion which has always been an anchor for me in my life. I’m excited to see what the future holds, because for me it is unknown.
